[[Old_rugged_cross]]

On a hill far away,
stood an old rugged Cross The emblem of suffering and shame And I love that old Cross Where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain (I believe in a hill called Mt Calvary I believe,
whatever the cost And when time has surrendered And earth is no more I’ll still cling to the old rugged Cross I believe that the Christ Who was slain on the Cross Has the power to change lives today For He changed me completely A new life is mine That’s why to the Cross I will cling)-( these two form part of the Cross medley) So I’ll cling to the old rugged Cross Till my trophies at last I lay down I’ll cling to the old rugged Cross And exchange it some day for a crown G G7 C On a hill far away,
